Norwich & Peterborough

Description of challenge:

Norwich and Peterborough were keen to change their cost-based distribution channel into an attractive revenue stream and update all non-compliant ICL hardware.
In addition, they hoped to reduce the management overhead dedicated to managing multiple suppliers to one consolidated partner.

The solution:

The ageing ICL hardware was replaced with new NCR hardware, which was triple DES compliant. The operation also led to further installations, which have increased the size of the network by 20%. Norwich and Peterborough no longer have to deal with multiple service suppliers reducing the overhead of management time and allowing them to target resources to other value adding processes.

Norwich and Peterborough have also taken advantage of the screen advertising opportunities offered on the cash machine, communicating their message to present and prospective customers.

Norwich and Peterborough’s network availability has increased above their original expectations since the project began, turning a cost based channel into a revenue stream.
